potty mouth

one of colton's first phrase was oh shit.. hmmm did he learn that from me? he was about 2 years old and noticed that his brother was making a mess... out pops! oh shit!

after that i worked very hard at watching my mouth in front of the kiddos...

yesterday landon was trying to make his bed and it just wasn't coming out right.
landon: oh dammit, dammit, dammit! urgh...dammit!
hmmm... did he learn that from me?

beach day with kids

landon started out the day eating cheez-its

fun in the sun

round two: cheez-its
this water feels great!

snack #3

more fun in the sun
this is my third cheese stick
"are you watching mommy?!"
all that food made me thirsty

landon ended up eating two peanut butter sandwiches, along with whatever else he could find in the cooler...

even though we live minutes away from the beach we decided to take a day trip over to the west coast so the boys could experience waves with the boogie boards.

lincoln: mommy!! I just peed in the ocean and it was cool!
clayton: i peed too! it was soo fun! hahahaha!

camping out with twins

landon catching dinner
colton on the left....landon on the right

it's a full moon tonight

daddy builds the best campfires

can't go camping without s'mores

colton watching the night sky

oh no! it is starting to rain!

living in southwest florida we missed the optimal time to go outdoor camping without sweating  . . . we decided that the boys would camp indoors.
after learning that the little boys were going to be sleeping at gamma's for the night, landon told me before school on friday that we were going to do something special that night.. something we have never done before. . . he told me to think it over during the day and to let him know what we would be doing when i picked him up at school in the afternoon...so that is what i did

8:00: time for bed
8:30: mommy lays with them
8:35: colton: it's hard to fall asleep in a tent
9:00: colton is asleep
9:20: landon: "mommy this is scary."
9:45: both boys asleep, i sneak upstairs
12:00: i wake up to landon crying.. it is thunder and lightening out for real. i lay with the boys
1:00: i sneak back upstairs
1:30: i wake up to both boys in my bed
1:45: i have no room so i go sleep in the tent
5:30: "mommy, i'm hungry!"
6:00: eating breakfast while both boys tell me how fun it was to camp out.

boys and poop

having four boys means having a bathroom that is never clean, regardless of how much bleach i use. tonight.. now no judging… i actually found poop smears on the cabinet door. YUCKO! the sad part of the whole thing is that i wasn’t surprised. . i took disinfectant wipes to that thing so fast!

mother's day with 4 little men and a husband

so i am best at turning the tv. that's too funny because now that we have roku i have no idea how to turn on the television

me: landon, i don't know how to cook donuts.
landon: i know, i just wish you knew how to cook them for me.
lincoln

i love this! the picture in the middle is actually a pin. which of course, i wore proudly all day

a conversation from this morning went like this:

colton: i don't want to go the beach

me: it's mother's day so we are doing what i want to do today.

a long pause for several seconds . . .

colton: when it is little boys' day i think we should do what i want to do

ps: everyone including my husband, who hates sand by the way, at a blast.

my kid is smarter than yours

during a t-ball game i went up to a woman and introduced myself and asked her which child was hers. out popped out of her mouth, "that's my son and he's smarter than the typical 5 year old. i responded with, "those are my kids and my 4 year olds' farts are smellier than the typical 4 year old.

ok, so i didn't really respond like that. but i wish i did.

video gaming with daddy

daddy to boys:"after this game we are going to bed."

as daddy plays the boys cheer him on so of course he continues to "play one more game."

daddy: "boys time for bed."

landon: "daddy, you didn't try the desert? why don't try that? i bet you could win."
daddy: "ok,then it is time for bed"
colton: "daddy your good at this."

clayton: "try the one with the larva. maybe the whinny monster is in there"
daddy: "ok, i'll try it"

after a car pushed drew off the road lincoln shouts, "you have to tell his MOMMA!"

this goes on for almost an hour

busch gardens with preschoolers

i really don't like this picture - but since this is my blog i should really have some pictures of myself
my little news anchors
my dad and his wife met us in tampa last weekend. we had a family vacation. on sunday we went to mosi. if you are ever in tampa stop here. there are things to do for all ages. i wish i had more photos, but taking photos is something that i have to do consciously - and yet i have a blog. (but remember, i said i was committed - yes i know i haven't done a good job at keeping up - but i am trying).

the first thing we did was go to the imax theater. at first i thought we were going to have to leave - it was a bit intense for little boys who have never been to a movie theater let alone an imax theater. we watched "flying monsters" (dinosaurs). at one point colton asked if he was inside the movie. my dad not helping replied, "kind of." colton whined, "bbuutt i don't want want to be in the movie."

on monday we went to busch gardens . that place is pretty awesome - with 4 kids we can totally go back and have different experience. we didn't even get through half the park. i can't account where all the time when. i was sad we had to go, but with a 2 1/2 hour drive we had to leave around 4. good thing we have season passes. i can't wait to go back.
it was hard to leave because none of the kids wanted to - so we kind of told a white lie.
drew told them that we were going on one more ride - but it was near the entrance. the kids got excited. we boarded the trolly. the kids got a little upset, so drew told them that we were on the last ride - the best ride of all - the trolly to the car. everyone on the tram howled with laughter - that is, everyone except the boys. they did not find it amusing.

this was a moment i will remember- every time eggs went around the boys would talk to each other

my recommendation is to go on a monday. we hardly waited in any lines - except during lunch. at 12:30 everyone decided to eat at the same time. people came out of nowhere. i guess everyone was craving bbq the same time we were. another recommendation is to pack a lunch. we brought a cooler backpack for the kiddos. this allowed the kids to eat and drink whenever they wanted. next time we will bring our own lunches to save money. cause, boy is the food expensive!

two sets of twins during dinner

clayton's roar

lincoln's roar

colton's roar

landon's roar

with four boys under the age of five, this is how we entertain ourselves during dinner. what roar is your favorite? i have a favorite, but i will let you decide.
